I bought some navy velvet fabric from JoAnn’s and while I was there I saw some nailhead trim and thought that would add some flare to the trunk. I decided to ditch the idea of handles completely and the front latches had to go too. While I liked the look they weren’t in the best shape and it wasn’t really necessary to keep them either.
The end result is so much better than before and turned out better than I hoped! I’m so glad my co-worker thought of me when she saw this!
